HUMANOID RAISES US$152 MLN IN SERIES A

 

Humanoid's leadership team with representatives from Prime Movers Lab, the lead investor in Humanoid's Series A financing.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 (Bernama) -- Humanoid, a United Kingdom-based artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics company developing industrial humanoid robots, has raised US$152 million in a Series A funding round, valuing the company at US$1.35 billion post-money and bringing its total capital raised to US$270 million. (US$1=RM4.09)

The financing was led by Prime Movers Lab, with participation from Schaeffler, Bosch, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital and Aglaé Ventures, underscoring growing investor confidence in Europe's ability to build globally competitive humanoid robotics companies.

In a statement, Humanoid Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Artem Sokolov said the funding would enable Humanoid to accelerate the commercialisation of humanoid robots after achieving unicorn status within two years of its establishment.

Meanwhile, Prime Movers Lab General Partner, Zia Huque said humanoid robotics is expected to become one of the defining technologies of the next decade, with Europe emerging as one of the industry's key global centres.

The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the company's next phase of growth, including the development of its next-generation humanoid robotics platform, commercial deployments across logistics, manufacturing and retail, mass production of wheeled humanoid robots, and further development of its proprietary AI system, KinetIQ.

Humanoid said beta versions of its robots are scheduled for deployment at customer facilities beginning in the fourth quarter of 2026 as it expands commercial operations and advances toward general-purpose industrial robots.

The company has secured partnerships with several Fortune 500 companies, including SAP, NVIDIA, Bosch and Siemens, and recently signed what it described as the industry's largest publicly announced commercial agreement with Schaeffler for the large-scale deployment of thousands of humanoid robots in manufacturing.

Humanoid said its vertically integrated model combines proprietary robotics hardware with KinetIQ, an AI platform designed to enable robots to understand and perform complex physical tasks in industrial environments.

The company aims to address labour shortages across manufacturing, logistics and other sectors by deploying intelligent robots capable of working safely alongside human workers.
